Welcome back to another Mystery Bay Horror review! Today we will say a few words about Dead of Winter: A crossroad game!
The game takes place in a world that most people are either
dead or even worse have turned into zombies hungry for flesh.
As if all this were not enough, you have to endure the hardships of winter, find food and useful things for the survival of the community.
Nevertheless,
there is also a possibility that one of the players is a traitor and works for his own selfish purposes!
So each player leads a team of survivors, with dozens of different characters in the game to choose from, and starts with a "main" goal for the colony.
Even each player at the beginning of the game gets a secret goal that will determine the course of the whole game! This means that players work together for a common winning situation, but each player must also complete his personal secret goal.
This secret goal could be a psychological blow that can be quite harmless to most in the colony, a dangerous obsession that could jeopardize the main goal, a desire to sabotage the main mission or (worst of all) ) revenge against the colony!
Dead of Winter is quite strong as it puts you in survival from the first minutes!
Its rules are complicated and relatively difficult and we would not recommend it to people who are not experienced board players!
With an excellent 10 we put it at 8, its negatives are that the relationship between quality of materials and price does not correspond.
The positives are that this part of surviving in an apocaliptic world from zombies and other hardships (lack of food, cold, traitors,
lack of cooperation) passes it to an incredible degree that makes it one of the best horror table games on our list!
Here we come to the end of our review we hope to give you an idea for the game.
See you again in the next horror review and until then Beware the Zombies or the People? You decide.....
