With these and that we reach our last game of the Top 10 - Horror Games and with Mansions of Madness 2nd edition we close our top ten !!
Our latest game is based on the work of the famous horror writer H.P. Lovecraft "The Call of Cthulhu".
For those who have not read it and you are a fan of the police and thriller, I highly recommend it !!
Mansions of Madness 2nd edition made its appearance in 2016 as it was one of the few games that are played using the application.
Opinions differ as many people thought that using the application in this new game would be more like a video game and not like a board game experience.
However, after the first gameplays, we realized that not only is it a desktop game, but one of the best of its kind as it is quite detailed and puts you in its atmosphere immediately!
The game is played by 1-5 people with the ability to choose a character from many different ones.
Each time the scenario is different and there is a defined level of difficulty for everyone. The duration of the game is generally long. According to its specifications, it lasts from 2 to 3 hours, but of course it also depends on the players.
The game does not have a single board, but has tiles with different rooms which are combined and revealed during the game as each scenario evolves.
Rich in expansions and as time goes by it comes with a variety of themes, from Arkham streets and past trips to the deep and ancient jungles of the Amazon!
More specifically, 5 expansions have been released so far, which are the following:
Mansions of Madness 2nd Edition won several awards in 2016 as well as 2017 and will remain in the TOP 10 best horror games for a long time.
With an excellent 10 we put it at 10 for the aforementioned reasons, unfortunately we did not find any negatives except for its high price (which is justified).
It's quite an easy game with very well written rules but again we would not recommend it to people who have not dealt with table games!
Here we come to the end of our Review we hope we helped you get a taste of the game although difficult as it is a unique experience !!
Are you sure you can deal with the madness head on and stay sober?
PS Do not forget to make a comment or a like for feedback,
as you help us become better in our reviews! Thanks!
